A truly moving artwork, incredibly evocative. The music alone is wonderful (and it seems amazing that Simon has not been making music for long - a talent), but put together with the stories and artefacts it becomes a deeper experience; it almost feels like we’re intruding on something very personal. I am eagerly awaiting the next instalment.
Favorite track: Shimmering City.

Simon Collison created something that's hard to encapsulate. In one breath, it's an EP of atmospheric music, but as you dig deeper you find it's a diary, a love letter and a reflection, a different way to experience a place.
Favorite track: Hotel Sunroute.

I really didn't know what to expect as a first release, but this is a lovely piece of ambient electronica reminiscent of Erland Cooper. I think I'll be turning to it a lot. Liking your work, Colly.

"One of my favourite tape series in recent years... a wonderful multimedia project.”—Lippy Kid, Electronic Odyssey
The first of four multimedia projects documenting experiences in Japanese cities, this EP is a love letter to Hiroshima, a city writing a new history.
1. Shimmering City diarises a return to Hiroshima in 2018, following the first visit two years earlier. The weather was gorgeous, and there was blossom on the trees.
2. Cheer Song celebrates the Hiroshima Toyo Carp baseball team and the game against the Giants on a beautiful evening at Mazda Zoom Zoom Stadium.
3. Paper Cranes recounts a harrowing visit to the Peace Memorial Museum and concludes with the experience of meeting a survivor on the second trip.
4. Hotel Sunroute builds on the vivid memory of stepping into the heat of the final morning and the desire to stay, soundtracked with a hazy collage of facts, thoughts and sounds.

Site Nonsite is a project researching and documenting a connection to place. Site is the source, a place rich with scattered information and experiences; Nonsite is the resulting document, a multimedia abstraction of that place. (These guiding thoughts are adapted from land artist Robert Smithson’s 1968 Theory of Non-Sites.)

This is very close to what I heard/felt everytime we visited the grandparents in Runcorn.
Ominous dread. Bleak dystopia. Concrete and terraced houses. Plus the air smells! MonkeyMajiks
Experimental hip-hop beats and meditative arrangements abound on this original soundtrack, the producer's first release in nearly a decade. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 3, 2019
These surprisingly emotional field recordings, paired with ambient instrumentals, summon something moving & intangible. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 21, 2022
Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW . christopherogley
